The Public Policy Leadership Series is a six-week program designed to educate and empower community leaders who are interested in serving in public office or becoming more effective advocates for their organization and community.
In partnership with the UNLV Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, this series provides a deep dive into the principles of effective governance and public policy.
What You’ll Learn:
Key issues shaping Nevada’s future at local, state, and federal levels
The importance of effective communication and accountability in public leadership
The characteristics of sound public policy making
Real-world insights from leaders in the arena
Throughout the course, class members will hear directly from policy experts and elected officials, gaining practical knowledge and firsthand perspectives on what it takes to be an effective civic leader.
Distinguished graduates of the program include Congresswoman Susie Lee, Assemblywoman Tracy Brown May, Las Vegas City Councilman Brian Knudsen, Regent Carlos Fernandez, and School Board Trustees Irene Bustamante Adams and Emily Stevens.
