Leadership Advance

Every organization needs great leaders to be successful – leaders who can inspire teams to succeed and reach goals, effectively communicate, and strategically solve problems. Leadership Advance gives talented professionals the training necessary to be effective leaders and managers. The program is tailored specifically to professionals wanting to enhance their leadership skills so they can transform themselves into more effective managers and leaders.

“Joining Leadership Advance has been one of the best experiences of my career. I highly recommend this program whether you are new to leadership or have been in a leadership role for some time. The past 5 months have seemed to fly by, but in this short amount of time I’ve seen great changes within myself not only professionally, but personally, too. It’s been great to network and build relationships with other professionals that I hope continue beyond the program.”

— Nicole Shelton, Nevada State Bank

“I have attended many leadership classes over the years; this was, by far, the best I have ever attended. Most leadership classes I have taken are more geared toward leadership theory, but the Leadership Advance class is the nuts and bolts of being the best leader. It’s the how-to for excelling at leadership at any level.”

— Connie Johnson, Las Vegas Valley Water District

The leadership training is facilitated by Tim Schneider of Aegis Learning, a Las Vegas-based company with more than 25 years of experience in creating and delivering learning solutions and leadership training for organizations of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies.

During the 5-month program, class members will earn 3.6 CEU credits while focusing on mastering skills that are most relevant to successful organizational leadership.

Topics include:

  • Communication

  • Decision Making and Strategic Thinking

  • Leadership vs Management

  • Problem Solving, Responsibility and Accountability

  • Engagement and Motivation

  • Emotional Intelligence (Self-Awareness, Self-Mastery, Social Awareness, and Social Mastery)

Leadership Advance is ideal for leaders at all levels who want to improve their leadership skills. Through Leadership Advance, companies develop a pipeline of in-house leadership talent that will drive growth in their operations and professionals gain the skills they need to advance their careers.

By the end of the program experience, class members will gain extensive experience and insights into their own leadership style, improve their leadership techniques, become a more effective communicator, and develop skills and strategies that will help them take on new leadership challenges in their organizations and in our community.

“The commitment to professional growth is a lifelong journey and it should be a priority for both new leaders and/or leaders with several years of experience. Being new to Las Vegas, I wanted to find a program that would allow me to expand my professional network as well as enhance my leadership effectiveness. One of my colleagues recommended that I consider the Leadership Advance Program, offered by the Leadership Foundation of Las Vegas. I can honestly say, I’m very happy I applied for the program because the competencies and training provided, opened my mind up to new ideas and concepts that I can add to my personal, leadership tool kit. The intellectual diversity in our class generated expansive discussions on various business topics. Each week, I left with a goal to intentionally apply some of the principles I’d learned in class. Leadership Advance is by far, one of the best leadership training courses I’ve participated in.”
